Scandal in the National Assembly of Republika Srpska: Reiner Refuses to Address Media Due to Absence of Croatian Flag

Speaker of the Croatian Parliament Željko Reiner is on an official visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina. After visiting Sarajevo, he visited Kiseljak, Mostar, and today Banja Luka, where a scandal occurred because after the meeting with the Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska Željka Stojičić, the flag of the Republic of Croatia was not displayed at the designated spot for statements, reports the BiH news agency Patria.

Reiner refused to give a statement and address the media because protocol dictates that alongside the host country's flag, the guest's flag must also be present. Reiner left the National Assembly of Republika Srpska and went to a meeting with the Bishop of Banja Luka, Franjo Komarica.

Otherwise, only the flag of Republika Srpska was displayed, so as on every previous occasion, the flag of Bosnia and Herzegovina was also missing, but few would react as Academician Reiner did.
