SKOPJE, (Patrai) - The Council of Europe has officially listed the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia under its new state name - the Republic of North Macedonia, MIA reports.
On the website of this oldest pan-European organization, headquartered in Strasbourg, the country is registered under its new official name and as such is placed on the list of member states in alphabetical order.
The flag of North Macedonia is now also displayed in front of the Palace of Europe in Strasbourg, between the flags of the Netherlands and Norway.
The Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia joined the Council of Europe on November 9, 1995, as the 38th member state.
