The president of the Serbian Radical Party (SRS) Vojislav Šešelj stated that he is ready to reconcile and cooperate with the president and prime minister of Serbia, Tomislav Nikolić and Aleksandar Vučić, if they adopt the positions currently held by the President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, in their political leadership, Press RS reported, as conveyed by the Patria News Agency.
Šešelj says that Vučić and Nikolić should renounce the EU, oppose the "meddling of Western powers," pursue closer integration with Russia, including talks on joining a customs union with that country, Kazakhstan, and Belarus, as well as the Committee for Collective Security.
Speaking about his relationship with the President of Republika Srpska, Šešelj said that Dodik is currently the most prominent fighter for its defense.
"He persistently defends Republika Srpska, sometimes making statements that are even sharper than those I would make, and he is currently pursuing a distinctly pro-Russian policy. These are our motives for supporting him to form a government again," Šešelj said.
In his opinion, it would be ideal for Republika Srpska if SNSD and SDS formed a coalition and established a government, meaning that the strong patriotic option, such as Dodik's party today, and the traditional patriotic option that has made significant contributions to the formation of Republika Srpska, such as SDS, would unite.
"If such a coalition were formed, then those instrumentalized by the West would be exposed, because they would oppose it and be recognized by the public," Šešelj said.
He warned of the detrimental effects of the current division between SNSD and SDS for Republika Srpska, stating that "the radicals are on Dodik's side."
"SRS currently belongs to the majority supporting Dodik's government, but we would even rather support a broad national coalition, without seeking any privileges for ourselves, and we would truly do so with the most sincere intentions to help Srpska," Šešelj conveyed.
Commenting on the mutual accusations between SNSD and SDS regarding cooperation with Croats and Bosniaks, Šešelj said that in principle he would always prefer to cooperate with Bosniaks, but that in the current circumstances, the interest of Republika Srpska lies in helping Croats form their own entity in BiH.
"However, by all accounts, Croatian representatives will not be fair, as there are such indications. The leader of HDZ BiH, Dragan Čović, will apparently enter into a coalition with SDA and SDS at the BiH level, which Dodik should have taken into account in time," Šešelj believes.
Regarding the future of BiH, the radical leader believes that the country will disintegrate as soon as foreigners leave it.
"The best option would be for the entire BiH to join Serbia, and that is the option that Alija Izetbegović missed in 1991. Another option is for Republika Srpska to join Serbia, while the Federation of BiH remains as a separate state or joins Croatia," Šešelj said.
