Šepić: We must unanimously reject announcements from Croatia to build a landfill on Trgovska Gora

(Patria) - Following the decision of neighbouring Croatia to build a nuclear waste landfill on Trgovska Gora, the Independent Bloc held a live press conference.

The IB emphasised that this landfill would endanger the lives of around 250,000 people along the Una River. The Independent Bloc has been pointing out and fighting against this dishonourable intention for years, appealing to all domestic and international institutions to protect the citizens and interests of our country.

"We have been fighting against this intention for two years, and Croatia, right in the midst of the pandemic that the whole world is fighting, made a dishonourable and shameful decision directed against Bosnia and Herzegovina. Through our representatives and international friends, we will appeal and lobby to stop the authorities of the Republic of Croatia in this bad intention, which threatens relations between our countries. The Krajina region, which is directly threatened, but also the whole of Bosnia and Herzegovina, has never fallen quietly. It will not fall this time either," said Senad Šepić, President of the IB.
