Šepić congratulates Zoran Milanović: Use your head

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Zoran Milanović is the new President of the Republic of Croatia, and the president of the Independent Bloc, Senad Šepić, sends him congratulations on that occasion.

“His victory is a symbol that changes are needed in Croatia and the entire region. The compromised and superficial Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović could no longer be saved even by voters from Herzegovina! I believe that the decisive factor were voters who want a normal, European Croatia, people who wish well for their neighbours and who do not label Bosnia and Herzegovina as a hotbed of 'Islamic radicals'.

Mr. Milanović should also be told - use your head, do not get carried away, do not become arrogant, work calmly and reasonably for the benefit of Croatia and the entire region. Otherwise, if Mr. Milanović gives conflicting and radical statements, there are those in Bosnia and Herzegovina who politically live off such conflicts (Željko Komšić, Bakir Izetbegović) and those for whom political harm to their own country is food (Dragan Čović, Milorad Dodik), so he must be extremely cautious and sensitive towards a country that has suffered so much injustice in the past, including from neighbouring Croatia.

I want Zoran Milanović to be a bearer of healthy changes and a policy of cooperation and European future - and I am convinced that the majority of people in both Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina want exactly that. I also expect that voters in BiH will give a chance to changes and a different policy in our country at the next test,” said the president of the Independent Bloc, Senad Šepić.
