Moving to Podgorica: Why is Hafiz Sulejman Bugari leaving Sarajevo in tears?!

We read in the media that Hafiz Sulejman Bugari has been appointed as advisor to Reis Fejzić in Montenegro for da'wah. Everyone thought this position was external and collaborative, until this morning when people in Sarajevo started asking with concern whether it is true that Hafiz Bugari is leaving our city to live and work in Podgorica, writes the Patria News Agency.

- I didn't know how to answer, a Sarajevo imam told us, and then I called my colleague and friend Hafiz Bugari to directly check what was going on.

We talked for a long time. And after that conversation, I can say, sadly and very sadly, it is true: Hafiz Sulejman Bugari is leaving our city - Sarajevo, our community - the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and our homeland - Bosnia and Herzegovina. Hafiz is moving to live and work in Podgorica, in Montenegro and in the local Islamic Community, this Sarajevo imam told us.

Although, as he emphasized, Sarajevo is Hafiz Bugari's city, the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina is his community, and Bosnia and Herzegovina is his homeland, and he will never truly leave them or emotionally abandon them.

- Hafiz Bugari has made an irrevocable decision to perform Hijrah in the name of Allah, SWT, to Podgorica. Together with his family. And this is his decision, says our interlocutor, although Hafiz did not want to tell him the reasons.

Every Hijrah is voluntary, it is done and made by one's own will, but no Hijrah is done willingly, because no one does it out of pure desire.

So, our Hafiz had to perform Hijrah due to certain pressures and constraints. In Podgorica, they promised him complete freedom in his missionary work, as a responsible person. In Sarajevo, unfortunately, he has recently felt discomfort and suffered misunderstandings in that regard, says Patria's interlocutor and adds:

- He says he is aware of how significant this is! People come to Sarajevo, they don't leave Sarajevo. Our greatest scholars lived and worked here. Sarajevo is our center in every sense. But, unfortunately, he has to go. He was crying while saying this. Sarajevo will surely cry too, for Hafiz Sulejman Bugari.
