SDP: Investigate possible involvement of Croatian intelligence services in destabilizing BiH

SARAJevo, (Patria) - The Presidency of the Social Democratic Party of Bosnia and Herzegovina fully supports the activities of the BiH Prosecutor's Office in determining all facts related to the case of possible involvement of intelligence services of the Republic of Croatia in destabilizing internal affairs in Bosnia and Herzegovina and damaging the international reputation of our country. We hope that, regardless of the final outcome of the investigation, the Republic of Croatia will finally make a turnaround and base relations with Bosnia and Herzegovina on the principles of equality of these two countries in the international order and respect for the sovereignty of our country, without interfering in its internal affairs and legal order, it was announced after today's session of the Presidency of SDP BiH.

- The Presidency of SDP BiH expects that the Parliament of Bosnia and Herzegovina will finally adopt the initiatives of SDP BiH deputies in the state Parliament, Denis Bećirović and Saša Magazinović, which call for amendments to the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Strategy for Combating Terrorism, in terms of introducing a ban on the activities of fascist organizations and punishing the organization of groups that promote fascist ideology, especially considering the recent scandalous Chetnik gathering in Višegrad.

The repeated imposition of the idea by the Croatian National Assembly that political parties can decide on the legitimacy and true belonging of individuals to a certain ethnic group was also condemned. SDP remains of the opinion that the issue of ethnic affiliation should not be a means of legitimizing or disqualifying individuals in BiH political life at all, and that this issue is used as a means of guarantee or monopoly of certain political entities.
