SDP Croatia must distance itself from Tonino Picula's nationalist views

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Regarding the continuation of racist and offensive statements about Bosnia and Herzegovina, we demand that SDP Croatia distance itself and condemn the actions of Tonino Picula, who was elected to the European Parliament as a candidate of this party, stated SDP BiH.

- His claims that "citizens of one nation cannot elect representatives of another nation" are the views of Božo Ljubić, Dragan Čović, and the retrograde nationalist policy of HDZ.

We expect SDP Croatia to show that Picula's views are not and cannot be the policy of social democratic parties.

We ask Picula if, since he supports the views of HDZ BiH, he also supports their "two schools under one roof" policy?

Does he, like HDZ, also think that children of different nationalities cannot mix in schools, like "pears and apples"?

Does he also support the celebration of the founding of the para-state Herceg Bosna, which was designated as a joint criminal enterprise by the Hague Tribunal, and which was organized by Ljubić, Čović, and HDZ?

Is Picula aware that he is advocating a policy that has been designated as racism by the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg?

Such statements from someone who nominally represents the social democratic family are an insult to all social democrats.

Picula has clearly embraced the policy of division and nationalism, so it would be honest for him to officially join the team of Ljubić, Čović, and their ilk - conclude SDP.
