SDA: Serbia must say it is against the referendum in RS

The Party of Democratic Action reacted after today's meeting in Belgrade between Serbian officials and representatives of the RS authorities.

- The Republic of Serbia, as the successor to the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia which signed the Dayton Peace Agreement, is obliged to protect and support the agreement and, by its actions, without interfering in the internal affairs of BiH, to remove anti-Dayton activities.

Today's decision by the leaders of the Republic of Serbia not to support the holding of a referendum on September 25 in the RS entity is a step in that direction, but still insufficient. It is necessary for the Serbian authorities to clearly state that they are against the referendum and demand that it not be held.

SDA once again calls on the international community to fulfill its obligations under the Dayton Peace Agreement and to annul the decision on the referendum.

We also call on the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina, primarily the Constitutional Court of BiH and judicial bodies, to adequately protect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of BiH.
