SDA: Schmidt's Suspension of the FBiH Constitution is Scandalous, Did He Arrange It with Plenković?

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The Party of Democratic Action (SDA) commented on the decisions to unblock the formation of government in the FBiH imposed today by the High Representative in BiH Christian Schmidt, and stated that the decision of High Representative Christian Schmidt to impose a temporary decision represents a scandalous suspension of the Constitution of the Federation and all democratic principles, to which no one, not even the High Representative, has the right.

"The intention to impose an unconstitutional Federation Government from certain embassies and the OHR, completely bypassing the Vice President of the FBiH from the Bosniak people and the majority will of the Bosniak Club in the House of Peoples of the FBiH Parliament, is a humiliating precedent, the consequences of which no one can predict. Besides the Vice President from the Bosniak people and the Bosniak Club, the convincing majority will of pro-Bosnian parties, which have at least 47 representatives in the House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament, is also ignored," they stated.

They emphasize that the new decision accommodates the HDZ.

"The newly imposed decision again accommodates the HDZ, which is being enabled in this way to form an imposed government with a minority group of political collaborators from the Troika, which has 28 representatives and a handful of bought votes. In the explanation of the decision at today's press conference, where he claims that he is not acting against any people, that the will of voters expressed in the elections must not be ignored, and that he is making the decision because there was no agreement, the High Representative insults the intelligence of citizens. Because he did the exact opposite. He grossly degraded the will of Bosniaks, completely ignored the electoral will of citizens, and rewarded those who refused any agreement," they stated.

Finally, they also sent a message to the High Representative.

"We demand from Christian Schmidt to explain to the Bosnian-Herzegovinian and world public whether his decision was again agreed upon with the Prime Minister of the Croatian Government, and whether it is based on 'Christian values and foundations' - as the Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs spoke about it - that is, whether he annuls the majority will of Bosniaks because they are mostly Muslims," concluded the SDA.
