Meeting in Belgrade - Serbia does not change the format of policy towards Bosnia and Herzegovina

"I don't know... I'm not smart enough to know what to do, and if I were in someone else's shoes, I'm not sure I would have gone, Vučić, at Dodik's request, thoroughly dismantled the SDS in the last elections," said Dragan Mektić, Minister of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina, commenting on the meeting of representatives of parties from the RS, which will be held on Saturday in Belgrade, hosted by Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić.

This statement by Mektić could have a sequel, because besides the dismantling of the SDS at the request of Milorad Dodik, the meeting of the presidents of political parties from the Republika Srpska with Serbian President Vučić could also consider a plan for dismantling Bosnia and Herzegovina according to the SANU matrix. Members of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts have never been idle, so in the region today we still feel the "destabilization of the governments of neighboring countries, provoking internal discontent and unrest," "assistance in the secession of Republika Srpska," "insistence on the constituent status of Serbs in Croatia, Montenegro and Kosovo and the execution of the transition of Serbian communities in the countries of the region into a unitary, all-Serbian community."

All Serbs in Belgrade!

By sending the presidents of the political parties of the RS to Belgrade, Vučić is clearly sending a message that he is the "father of all Serbs in the region." Transparently, many read that Vučić is also sending a message to Matthew Palmer, the new US Special Representative for the Balkans, that he could "snap his fingers" and cause trouble if even a part of Kosovo is not part of Serbia!

The appointment of Palmer as the US Special Representative for the Balkans is a sign that the US administration wants to push forward the negotiation process between Belgrade and Pristina. Vučić, in parallel, has pulled out his tried and tested recipe from Republika Srpska. Divide and rule. If he were peaceful and well-intentioned, as he presents himself, he would not interfere in the internal affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, let alone call for an urgent meeting only with parties from the RS. He would negotiate problems in the region with the state leadership of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which consists of representatives of Serbs, Bosniaks and Croats.

And Serbia's Foreign Minister Ivica Dačić, saying that he expects nothing from Palmer, but from his wife (due to her origin from Serbia), is proof that official Serbia will not change the format of the dialogue. They will continue to do things their own way! Both in the case of Bosnia and Herzegovina and in the case of Kosovo.

By inviting only Serbs from Bosnia and Herzegovina to clarify what the SDA declaration will mean for them, Vučić further destabilizes the region. Years ago, like Croatia, Vučić's Serbia missed the opportunity for catharsis in relations with Bosnia and Herzegovina. Instead of catharsis, they continued to relativize historical facts and interfere in the internal affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, causing incalculable damage to citizens of all nations and nationalities.

Analysts have warned for years that Vučić - by supporting the separatism of Milorad Dodik, the president of the entity Republika Srpska in Bosnia and Herzegovina - produces dangerous reflections and effects on regional and EU security and stability, which is a continuation of the policy of Slobodan Milošević.

Analysts assess that Dodik's resistance to NATO, as well as President Vučić's opposition to Serbia becoming a NATO member, lies precisely in the fact that the admission of either Bosnia or Serbia to NATO would once and for all thwart the plan for the dismantling of Bosnia and Herzegovina, while the bombing of Serbian positions by NATO forces during the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina in the 1990s and later in Kosovo – which Dodik and Vučić use as an argument against NATO – is merely an excuse for implementing the dangerous policy of nationalists from Belgrade.

Anti-Bosnian forces could hardly wait for the Declaration of the Party of Democratic Action, so they diverted attention from the ANP, which is a legal obligation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, while the Declaration, although not legally binding, was characterized as a call for the definitive disintegration of Bosnia and Herzegovina! Such assessments by Dodik are only a sign of regret for the retrograde projects of dismantling Bosnia and Herzegovina from the 1990s, which did not succeed to the end, and a diversion of attention from crucial things important for people's lives and survival. The real truth is that Republika Srpska has gone into debt again, the people are repaying the loans, and the Belgrade elite, through their policy towards Bosnia and Herzegovina, will make their lives even more difficult, and by no means easier.
