Šarović: Dialogue won, Croatia to revert price list on Friday

Mirko Šarović, Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH confirmed that after this morning's conversation with the Croatian Minister of Agriculture Tomislav Tolušić, he has good news for farmers from BiH, writes Patria agency.

- We have been informed that Croatia will withdraw its regulation on phytosanitary supervision tomorrow, meaning the price list will revert to its previous state. Phytosanitary control will cost 90 kuna per type of fruit or vegetable – said Šarović, emphasizing that the old prices will be valid from tomorrow. 

Šarović said it was good that BiH did not respond with counter-measures.

- Patience and the negotiating dialogue we nurture have won – said Šarović.

He said it was good that the ministers of the region united and met very quickly in Sarajevo where they talked. 

In a conversation with journalists, Šarović said that Croatia wanted to protect its farmers in this way and that there was a reaction from the region.

- This would mean that we also raise the price list, and the stance of the ministers from the region and Croatia is to harmonize the price lists, and we will discuss this and everything else at one of the upcoming meetings of ministers – concluded Šarović.
