SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Protests organized by "Climate Save Bosnia" and "Extinction Rebellion BiH" will be held today on the plateau in front of the Croatian Embassy in Sarajevo.
The protests, which begin at 12 noon, are being organized due to Croatia's intention to dispose of radioactive waste from the Krško Nuclear Power Plant at Trgovska Gora, an area located in close proximity to the border with Bosnia and Herzegovina. The disposal of this waste would put 300,000 people at risk, and the Una River would also be endangered. This would definitively end tourism in Krajina.
Citizens of the northwestern part of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which borders the Republic of Croatia, are still not sufficiently informed about the danger they are exposed to and the negative consequences they will face if the Republic of Croatia implements its national program for the strategy of radioactive and nuclear waste management, which plans for the construction of a radioactive and nuclear waste disposal site at Trgovska Gora, Dvor municipality, along the border with our country.
