
The Ministry of Security of BiH and the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Slovenia remain committed to strengthening cooperation and partnership, especially when it comes to the joint fight against organized crime, corruption, terrorism, and illegal migrations, it was announced from the Ministry of Security of BiH, reports the Patria News Agency.
This was confirmed during the meeting between the Minister of Security of BiH, Dragan Mektić, and the Slovenian Minister of the Interior, Vesna Györkös Žnidar, today in Brdo pri Kranju.
Particular attention in the coming period will be paid to improving information exchange, knowledge and experience transfer, and general support for BiH's security structures to more quickly meet the necessary conditions on the European path.
Ministers Žnidar and Mektić discussed the problem of illegal migrations, and it was emphasized that cooperation and timely information exchange at the regional and European levels are necessary in this segment. It was concluded that cooperation in this area between BiH and Slovenia will be significantly improved by applying the readmission protocol, which Ministers Žnidar and Mektić signed today in Slovenia. The protocol specifies the procedures for the return of persons residing without permission in the territory of these two countries.
