After less than half a year in power, the Croatian Parliament today voted no confidence in Prime Minister Tihomir Orešković, causing the government of MOST and the so-called Patriotic Coalition to fall, reported Index.hr, as conveyed by NAP.
In his address, Orešković stated that the real reason for the downfall of his government was his work on resolving the Ina-MOL dispute through the continuation of arbitration and the initiation of new negotiations, in order to protect national interests, which did not suit some.
- It is no secret that my views on Ina, LNG, and the energy sector significantly differ from the views of some government members, and that I firmly defended them because I am deeply aware of the importance that Ina and the energy sector have for our economy, and I fought to protect our vital interests - said Orešković.
