SARAJEVO, (Patria) - In order to resolve the problem that has recently appeared at certain border crossings regarding freight traffic and huge queues and kilometers of waiting, the director of the Border Police of BiH, Zoran Galić, has agreed with the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Croatia that freight motor vehicles from "third countries" transiting through the Republic of Croatia when entering BiH will be directed to border crossings Bijača, Gradiška, and Šamac, accompanied by Croatian police.
Furthermore, freight motor vehicles from BiH, before entering Croatia, must contact a company in Croatia, and they will provide them with a permit at the border that allows them to cross the border.
This means that all freight motor vehicles going to Croatia for goods (import/export) can cross the state border through other border crossings as before, only now it is necessary to notify the company before starting the journey, as stated.
The agreement between Galić and the Croatian Ministry of Interior was reached to avoid huge queues and ensure smooth traffic flow.
