Divers from Slovenia participating in the search for missing jumper Andrej Beuc

The Ministry of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in cooperation with the Republican Administration of Civil Protection of the Republika Srpska, sent a request on August 9 to the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Slovenia – Administration for Protection and Rescue for assistance in the search for a Slovenian jumper who disappeared in the Drina River in the Zvornik area, it was announced from the Ministry of Security of BiH, reports the Patria News Agency.

The Administration for Protection and Rescue of the Republic of Slovenia sent a nine-member specialist diving team which arrived in Zvornik.

The planned duration of the diving team's mission is until August 14, which will depend on the search results, the statement said.

The tragedy occurred on Sunday, August 7, during bridge jumps held as part of the "Zvorničko ljeto" event.

Around 4:40 PM, Andrej Beuc, a jumper from Slovenia, jumped from the bridge, after which he surfaced and raised his hands asking for help. Rescue boats immediately headed towards him, but Andrej sank. The search for his body has been ongoing since Sunday, hampered by the murky water.
