SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The Communications Regulatory Agency (RAK) of Bosnia and Herzegovina has appealed to audiovisual media to apply the highest professional and ethical standards when reporting on the tragic incident at the primary school in Belgrade, and not to contribute to the violation of the dignity of the victims and their families.
RAK reminded that the Code on Audiovisual Media Services contains provisions that explicitly relate to reporting on criminal offenses and proceedings involving minors, RAK announced.
The statement also emphasizes the importance of protecting the privacy of this most sensitive and vulnerable category of society.
In yesterday's shooting at the "Vladislav Ribnikar" Primary School in Vračar, Belgrade, eight children and a security guard were killed, and six children and a teacher were wounded. The police arrested 13-year-old K.K., who committed the crime, as well as his parents.
