RESUSCITATED Child in Zagreb did not die, doctors are trying to save him

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The director of Klaić Hospital reports that the child did not die and that they are still trying to save his life, it was said at 9:35 AM on N1 television.

Earlier A fifteen-year-old child is the first victim of the earthquake in Zagreb, it was confirmed to Hina on Sunday by the Zagreb City Institute for Emergency Medicine.

We received a report about a building collapse at 13 Đorđićeva Street. An emergency medical team went to the scene and found a seriously injured child who was no longer showing signs of life, said Žarko Rašić, director of the Institute for Emergency Medicine.

Around 8:30 AM, an emergency meeting of the state leadership began.

"Given the new situation after two strong earthquakes hit Zagreb and its surroundings, the state leadership will meet at 8:30 AM in the National and University Library.

Present at the NSK will be President of the Republic Zoran Milanović, Speaker of the Croatian Parliament Gordan Jandroković, Prime Minister Andrej Plenković, Deputy Prime Minister Damir Krstičević, and Zagreb Mayor Milan Bandić.

After the meeting, there will be statements for the media, confirmed by the Government," they said.

Zagreb was hit early this morning, around 6:23 AM, by an earthquake of 5.3 magnitude on the Richter scale, followed by a weaker one. 

Croatian media report that there are minor injuries, and that there was panic in some hospital departments. 

Citizens who have gone outside out of fear are asked to keep their distance due to the coronavirus.
