War dreams of Ivo Lučić: Tuđman's intelligence officer on Croatian state television calls for the breakup of BiH

Will Bosniaks elect representatives of Croats? Should the election law be changed? What is the security situation in BiH, which has been flooded with migrants? What would be the ideal solution for equal relations between the three peoples in BiH?

Last night, Deputy President of HDZ Milijan Brkić, Ivo Lučić from the Croatian Institute of History, Secretary General of SDA Croatia Armin Hodžić, Presidency member of SDP Ivo Jelušić, constitutional law expert from Sarajevo Kasim Trnka, and Vlado Rogić from the Central Election Commission of BiH had the opportunity to answer these questions on the show Otvoreno on Croatian state television.

The HRT show was an ideal opportunity for Ivo Lučić to reiterate his views on the state organization of BiH.

- BiH has been in a political crisis for a long time, but it has now become a constitutional crisis as well. The Constitutional Court's decision must be implemented. Unfortunately, the Dayton Agreement, one annex of which is the Constitution of BiH, has been changed countless times, some decisions have been imposed by force, including these election rules. The leading parties in BiH, the five Bosniak parties, do not want to change these election rules. It seems to me that they have started to turn the Federation into their own entity, while they will not touch Republika Srpska. Croats in BiH will not back down. However, this is primarily a severe crisis for the state, it calls into question legitimacy and legality, and even the very existence of the state. Under the guise of creating a civic state, Bosniaks will now elect the Croat member of the Presidency - explained Lučić.

Lučić has long openly called for the breakup of the state of BiH, and actively participated in its destruction during the war.

Ivo Lučić was one of the main figures of HVO and a close friend and associate of Franjo Tuđman and Croatian Minister of Defense Gojko Šušak during the time of the greatest crimes against Bosniaks in Herzegovina, at a time when the Croatian and Herzeg-Bosnian military and political leadership did not hide their desire to annex the then-called Herceg-Bosna to Croatia.

The well-known Croatian journalist Jasna Babić also wrote about the wartime and post-war role of SIS in her book “Urota Blaškić”, which describes how that secret service even worked against certain HVO officers who were not favored by the political leadership.

The respected Mostar historian Dragan Markovina, whose family also had to leave Mostar during the war because they did not fit the HDZ's description of a true Croat, perhaps best described the professor, historian, general, and former Tuđman's spy.

- The whole problem of Ivo Lučić and those like him is, let's not lie or sugarcoat it, that the noble vision of Maks Luburić, as well as a milder version of Franjo Tuđman, has completely failed, and now he would give anything for it not to be so. Lučić belongs to that special breed of people for whom individual human destinies mean nothing. He is entirely devoted to a cause. Homeland, blood, and soil. The so-called humane (if it works) or inhumane (if it doesn't work) relocation of people from their homes is completely normal. Only the territory matters, and nothing else.

For Lučić, there is no individual, no free development of the individual who would, for example, be exclusively interested in (the only true) spiritual freedom. No, instead, it's nice, we'll mark this piece of land; up to here, we Croats, from here, the Balijas. We'll build a few watchtowers, and it's worth considering in the near future interning these pagans from mixed marriages and other national traitors somewhere. Perhaps again in Dretelj, the infrastructure is already in place there - Markovina described Lučić.

Instead of giving moral lessons to dissidents from the pages of daily newspapers and public forums across Herzegovina, and from the screens of Croatian state television, historian Lučić should publicly speak about his role and the wartime role of the service he led.

As the former chief of police in Herzegovina, and later the leading figure of the HVO intelligence service during the greatest crimes, there is no doubt that General Lučić would have a lot to say.
