PRISTINA, (Patria) - Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama said that Albania and Kosovo should have the same foreign policy and one president, who would implement that policy on behalf of the Albanian people.
- Albania and Kosovo should have a common foreign policy and one president who would symbolize national unity – Rama said in the Kosovo Assembly.
Rama stated that it is unrealistic to expect this now, but that it could happen in the next ten years.
The leader of the Democratic League of Kosovo parliamentary group, Avdullah Hoti, opposed Rama's idea.
Hoti stated that Rama's statement is a lack of respect for Kosovo, given that the country intends to become a member of the EU and NATO.
