Rama: European proposal is the best so far, Albania is on Kosovo's side

(Patria) - Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama today praised the proposed Franco-German plan for the normalization of relations between Serbia and Kosovo as one of the best proposals, reports ABC News in Albanian.

- There is no other way, any other way is an illusion created for the audience, for politics, for votes, for internal wars, but it has nothing to do with the future.

I truly want to hope and I am engaged with all my heart and mind, I pray that the issue of Serbia and Kosovo embarks on a path of no return dialogue and that there will be no need for superpowers to calm them down every time, as if they were fighting in the backyard behind the school - Rama said at a press conference after meeting with his Montenegrin counterpart Dritan Abazović in Podgorica.

He emphasized that he believes the agreement based on the Franco-German plan is the best thing that has ever been on the table.

- I respect the sovereignty of both sides to decide. It is inevitable that Albania will be on the side of the Government of Kosovo, to which I wholeheartedly wish determination and success - said Rama, reports Kosovo Online.
