Pusić: Those working against me in the race for UN Secretary-General are working against Croatia

MP of Most in the Croatian Parliament Miro Bulj said that Vesna Pusić does not deserve to be the Croatian candidate for UN Secretary-General, because, according to Bulj, Pusić imposed the thesis that Croatia was an aggressor against Bosnia and Herzegovina during the war.

- Due to her thesis, Croatia and its citizens have suffered immeasurable damage in the last 20 years. Vesna Pusić has no legitimacy anywhere in the world to represent the Republic of Croatia! - Bulj wrote on his Facebook profile, reports Patria.

The parliamentary representative of HSP AS and the party's general secretary Pero Ćorić also stated that the Pravaši are preparing to send a letter to the permanent members of the Security Council and inform them that the Croatian candidate for UN Secretary-General Vesna Pusić does not deserve the position, precisely because in 2001 she stated that Croats committed aggression against BiH.

- I would rather raise my hand against myself than for Vesna Pusić - Ćorić told Hina.

HSP AS claims that their initiative will be supported by MPs from the Patriotic Coalition, as well as from Most.

However, Vesna Pusić did not remain silent either. Those who work against her, she said, are working directly against Croatia.

- For the first time in history, Croatia has a chance to nominate a candidate for the position of UN Secretary-General. According to the current rules, this chance will come again in 50 years. A person in that position must represent universal human values: peace and security, human rights, and the right of all to development and progress. Agitating against the candidacy of the Croatian representative means agitating against Croatia - Pusić wrote.

- The people who do this harm the reputation of my homeland, Croatia. However, since these are people who advocate for and use hate speech, fear, threats, discrimination, and exclusion, they do not harm me personally. Because I advocate for everything contrary to that, and that, among other things, is precisely what recommends me for the job of UN Secretary-General - Pusić said, reports Patria.
