First death from coronavirus in Serbia

(Patria) - The first victim of coronavirus in Serbia. The first person to die from coronavirus in Serbia has been confirmed. The person was a 59-year-old man from Kikinda. A total of 135 cases of coronavirus infection have been registered in Serbia, which is 17 more than this morning. All border crossings for passenger entry have been closed since this morning, except for trucks.

Intercity traffic has been suspended since noon. The Government of Serbia will send planes to pick up Serbian citizens stranded at airports around the world.

The President of Serbia announced that hundreds of ventilators and 10 million masks will arrive in the country. EU medical equipment supplies will also be available to Serbia, stated Minister Jadranka Joksimović.

Passenger traffic at Belgrade Airport has been temporarily suspended.
