First three infected patients in Croatia negative for coronavirus

(Patria) - Three new cases of coronavirus infection were confirmed in Croatia last night, bringing the total number of infected people to 19. The National Civil Protection Headquarters met with the Prime Minister at the Government and decided to introduce new measures; starting tomorrow, schools in Istria will be closed and there will be no classes. The Headquarters should consider the proposal today to ban all gatherings of more than one hundred people in the country.

Currently, 5,900 people are under self-isolation measures in Croatia. Epidemiologists are monitoring their condition.

"Yesterday, we had 168 contacts under intensive monitoring. There will be many more, considering the three newly infected," reported Krunoslav Capak, director of the Croatian Institute of Public Health.
