FIRST ROUND ON FRIDAY, SECOND ON MONDAY Vučić and Kurti in Brussels, bringing completely opposing positions

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Separate meetings of European officials with Aleksandar Vučić and Albin Kurti in Brussels will begin on Monday at 3 PM, followed by a joint meeting.

Earlier on Friday morning, the head of European diplomacy, Josep Borrell, will hold an informational briefing, it was announced today from the European Union.

Borrell called this meeting last week, and participation was immediately confirmed by the President of Serbia and the Kosovo Prime Minister. In addition to the EU High Representative, the EU Special Representative for the Belgrade-Pristina Dialogue, Miroslav Lajčák, will mediate.

The meeting will be a full-day event, and will discuss the European proposal on the “normalization of relations between Kosovo and Serbia,” which the EU hopes the two officials “will be able to accept.”

From the European Union today, it is stated that a press statement by the European foreign policy official is planned at the end of the meeting.

However, Vučić and Kurti will head to the upcoming meeting in Brussels with different expectations.

On the same day that Brussels confirmed the date of the new round of high-level political dialogue, Vučić said from Munich that he has no intention of going there “as a tourist,” but that he is interested in the Community of Serb Municipalities and that this will be the main topic for him.

On the other hand, the Kosovo Prime Minister said yesterday that there will be no discussion on the CSM in Brussels, but that he expects the topic to be the European proposal, not the “interest of one side.”

Asked specifically about Kurti's statement, Vučić again presented different claims.

“Of course there will be, because I will talk about the CSM. The European representatives will have to talk about it, by God,” Vučić said last night, adding that he knows Kurti would never even form it.
