(Patria) - A protest in support of the Palestinian people, titled "Solidarity Gathering with Palestine," is being held tonight at the Square of Victims of Fascism in Zagreb.
Croatian police, as announced, are filming this public gathering "in accordance with the Law on Police Affairs and Powers, and based on Article 79 of the cited Law".
The Workers' Front called for today's gathering via social media.
The organizer of the gathering, Emina Bužinkić, who explained to the media that the protest is part of a global response to the situation where Gaza is being mercilessly bombed and an incredible number of people are losing their lives, condemned Israel's apartheid, settler regime…
We demand freedom for all Palestinians. We demand de-occupation and decolonization. An immediate cessation of this war. We call for peace and the establishment of freedom in Palestinian territories – Bužinkić stated, reports N1.
“Israel's colonial violence against Palestine must stop. The UN and the international community must find a political, not a military, solution,” she said.
Former Member of Parliament Ivan Pernar also attended the protest.
