Protests in Albania against Vučić and Dodik

TIRANA, (Patria) - A group of citizens gathered tonight near the office of the President of Albania to express their dissatisfaction with the arrival of Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić and member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Milorad Dodik in Tirana for the Western Balkans Six summit as part of the Brdo-Brioni process.

N1 television reporter reported that banners read that Dodik and Vučić are not welcome in Albania, as well as slogans about Srebrenica.

Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama, commenting on the request by the Albanian movement "Self-determination" to declare Vučić and Dodik undesirable persons, told TV "Pink" that "Albania is a free country", but also that the guests are welcome.

"This is a free country, everyone has the right to protest and advocate for whatever they deem right, but this summit is organized by the President and he has the President of Serbia and the member of the BiH Presidency as his guests, and they are welcome," Rama said.

He reminded that Albania has a phrase in its Constitution that reads "Albania is the house of the Albanian, the house of God, and the house of guests".

The Chairman of the BiH Presidency Milorad Dodik and member of the BiH Presidency Šefik Džaferović are participating in the meeting of the leaders of the Brdo-Brioni process in Tirana today and tomorrow. Today they will meet with the High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini, while on Thursday the Chairman of the BiH Presidency Milorad Dodik and member of the BiH Presidency Šefik Džaferović, as well as the representative of the member of the BiH Presidency Željko Komšić, advisor Branimir Jukić, will participate in the plenary meeting of the Brdo leaders.
