Collection "Research, Documentation and Prosecution of Genocide in BiH" Promoted

As part of the commemoration of the 21st anniversary of the genocide in Srebrenica, on July 15, 2016, a promotion of the Collection of Papers from the First International Conference “Research, Documentation and Prosecution of Genocide in BiH” was held at the Gazi Husrev-beg Library. The Collection summarized the presentations from the First International Conference held under the independent organization of the “Association of Victims and Witnesses of Genocide and the Association of Mothers of the Enclaves of Srebrenica and Žepa”, writes Patria.

The Conference last year was attended by 38 presenters, including Theodor Meron, President of the ICTY, Serge Brammertz, Chief Prosecutor of the ICTY, judges, prosecutors, and investigators of the ICTY who prosecuted the crime of genocide in BiH, high-ranking representatives of German judicial and investigative bodies, Jonathan Moore, Head of the OSCE Mission in BiH, Lars-Gunar Wigemark, EU Ambassador to BiH, David Scheffer, former US Ambassador to the UN and the first US Ambassador for War Crimes, Carmel Agius, President of the ICTY, representatives of the Court and Prosecutor's Office of BiH, as well as representatives of war crimes departments at courts in the region.

The promoters of the Collection are conference participants and presenters: Ambassador Jonathan Moore, Head of the OSCE Mission in BiH, Dr. Elias Tauber, Research Associate at the Institute for Research of Crimes Against Humanity and International Law, Munira Subašić, President of the Association of Mothers of the Enclaves of Srebrenica and Žepa, Sead Omeragić, journalist for the Patria agency, and Elmina Kulašić, senior advisor at the Association of Victims and Witnesses of Genocide.

In addition to the promoters, Kada Hotić from the Association of Mothers of the Enclaves of Srebrenica and Žepa, and Ramiz Salkić, Vice-President of Republika Srpska, also spoke at this gathering.
