"At this location, Serbian criminals set fire to the National and University Library of Bosnia and Herzegovina on the night of 25/26. 08. 1992. More than 2 million books, journals, and documents were lost in the flames. Do not forget, remember, and warn."
These words in our language are inscribed on the memorial plaque located at the entrance to Sarajevo's City Hall. On the other side of the entrance, there is an identical plaque with the text in English, reports the Patria News Agency.
Serbian representatives, who stayed in the capital yesterday and today on the occasion of the Summit 100 and the Brdo-Brijuni Summit, conditioned their entry into the City Hall building, as the Patria News Agency has learned, on the covering of the memorial plaques that testify to the truth about the urbicide committed in the capital by Serbian criminals.
It was precisely these two words, "Serbian criminals," that offended them, even though they know very well that it is the truth. Someone, whether from the City Administration of Sarajevo or the BiH Presidency protocol, ordered both memorial plaques to be covered with EU and BiH flags.
