SDP BiH Presidency: Bosnia and Herzegovina's problems are not solved in Belgrade, Zagreb, or Ankara

The Presidency of the Social Democratic Party of BiH, at its session, expressed the SDP's readiness for joint action with all forces in Bosnia and Herzegovina committed to preserving the stability of the social order and strengthening the institutions of the state of BiH, in order to calm the tensions arising from the scheduled referendum on the Day of Republika Srpska on September 25, reports Patria News Agency.

The announced referendum on the Day of Republika Srpska is a deliberate undermining of the state, its institutions, and the constitutional order of BiH. Precisely because of the announcement of the referendum, the current situation in BiH is characterized by instability, uncertainty, conflicts, and challenges to fundamental social values and the legal constitutional order in the country.

SDP BiH states that it is high time for the highest officials in BiH to stop any rhetoric reminiscent of the nineties of the last century, which shows that they do not care at all about the citizens and their future.

Although some wish to further weaken the state of BiH and its institutions, no one can question its territorial integrity, sovereignty, and international subjectivity. Therefore, we call on all political subjects in BiH to rise above narrow party interests and take care of the security and prosperity of all citizens of our country.

Furthermore, the Presidency of SDP BiH expects domestic officials to abandon the practice of seeking solutions to BiH's internal problems in Zagreb, Belgrade, or Ankara, and to turn towards establishing the necessary mutual dialogue in order to overcome the current situation within BiH society.

The practice of seeking political protectors from outside the borders of Bosnia and Herzegovina is humiliating for all citizens, and most of all for those who resort to such behavior and thus admit their own immaturity for dealing with all serious social problems, for the resolution of which they received the trust of the citizens in the elections.
