Presidency of BiH: Send a protest note to Croatia due to the actions of the Security Intelligence Agency

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The Presidency of BiH at today's session tasked the competent institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina to, in accordance with their constitutional powers, undertake all necessary activities with the aim of obtaining a positive opinion from the European Commission on BiH's application for membership in the EU and gaining candidate status for EU membership.

The Presidency of BiH tasked the Council of Ministers of BiH to submit a comprehensive action plan for state and entity institutions in accordance with their competencies, with the aim of preventing an increased influx of migrants into BiH.

The Presidency of BiH accepted the invitation of the President of the Republic of Turkey for an official visit of the Chairman and members of the Presidency of BiH to the Republic of Turkey on May 2, 2019. The Presidency of BiH accepted the invitation to participate in the Summit of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM), which will be held in the Republic of Azerbaijan, Baku, on October 25 and 26, 2019. The Presidency of BiH accepted the invitation of the Presidents of the Republic of Slovenia, the Republic of Croatia, and the Republic of Albania, addressed to the Chairman and members of the Presidency of BiH, to participate in the Brdo-Brijuni Process leaders' meeting, which will be held in the Republic of Albania, Tirana, on May 8 and 9, 2019.

The Presidency of BiH agreed that Bosnia and Herzegovina will join the Declaration on the Protection of Schools and Universities during Armed Conflicts, which was adopted in 2015 based on Norway's initiative. The Presidency of BiH took note of the Report on the implementation of the Agreement on Sub-regional Arms Control, Annex 1B, Article IV, of the General Framework Agreement for Peace in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the work of the Sub-regional Consultative Commission in 2018.

The Presidency of BiH made decisions to accept the Agreements and appoint signatories for: - The Second Amendment to the Grant Agreement between the Council of Europe Development Bank (CEB) and Bosnia and Herzegovina regarding the Regional Housing Program and regarding the second sub-project of the State Housing Project in Bosnia and Herzegovina, - TFSCB Grant Agreement No. TFO5397 (EU-SILC Survey Project for Bosnia and Herzegovina) between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development

The Presidency of BiH made a Decision on initiating the procedure for concluding the Agreement between the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Government of the Republic of Moldova on cooperation in the field of tourism, The Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina took note of the Information from the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of Bosnia and Herzegovina on the implementation of the Law on Production of Weapons and Military Equipment. The Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina took note of the Information on the Annual Training and Exercise Plan for members and units of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina abroad for 2019.

The Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina took note of the Information on the realization of the conclusion from the 51st regular session of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, regarding the analysis of the situation and improvement of the public procurement system in the Ministry of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

"The Ministry of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina is tasked with continuing activities that will contribute to increasing the degree of realization of the Procurement Plan in 2019, improving the public procurement system and logistical support, in order to improve the capabilities and capacities of the Ministry of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and to submit a report on this to the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina by July 31, 2019.

The Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina took note of the Report on the work of the Ministry of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina for 2018.

The Presidency of BiH adopted the Annual Report of the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina for 2018. The Report on the work of the Deposit Insurance Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina for 2018 and the financial plan for 2019 are adopted.

The Presidency of BiH made a Decision on Bosnia and Herzegovina's accession to the 2018 Amendments to the 2006 Maritime Labour Convention (MLC) Code of the International Labour Organization,

The Presidency of BiH made a Decision on initiating the procedure for concluding the Agreement on Mutual Recognition of Academic Qualifications between the Western Balkan countries for doctors of medicine, doctors of dental surgery, architects, and civil engineers.

The Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina adopted the Report of the Ministry of Justice of Bosnia and Herzegovina on the work of the Pardon Commission for the period January-December 2018.

The Presidency of BiH made a Decision to reject four requests for pardons for convicted persons.

The Presidency of BiH made decisions to grant approval for the conclusion of: - Acts adopted at the meeting of transport ministers/representatives of Western Balkan countries, held on April 25, 2018, in Ljubljana, - Agreement on the Government Security Program between the Ministry of Communications and Transport of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Microsoft Corporation, - Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in research and development activities in the field of transport and information technologies between the Ministry of Communications and Transport of BiH and the Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications of the Republic of Turkey.

The Presidency of BiH tasked the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of BiH to send a protest note to the Republic of Croatia due to the activities and actions of the Security Intelligence Agency of the Republic of Croatia towards citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina during their stay or transit through the Republic of Croatia.
