Ten months after the parliamentary elections in Croatia, voters will once again decide who will have the majority in the Parliament.
Early parliamentary elections will be held on Sunday, September 11. This was decided by the President of Croatia, Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović, reported Croatian media, as conveyed by Patria.
In the previous Parliament, which has now formally ended, the majority was held by the HDZ's Patriotic Coalition and the Bridge of Independent Lists with partners. Before completing a year in office, the majority overthrew their prime minister, Tihomir Orešković.
HDZ attempted to secure a majority without the Bridge, but they did not succeed, so citizens will have to go to the polls again.
More than 3.8 million Croats will elect 151 representatives; 140 in ten constituencies in Croatia, three will be elected by the Croatian diaspora, and eight by national minorities in the country, writes Patria.
