Indictment filed against the father of the boy who committed murder at a Belgrade elementary school

(Patria) - The Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade today filed an indictment against the father of the boy who killed ten and wounded six people, mostly students of the school, at the "Vladimir Ribnikar" Elementary School in early May.

The prosecutor's office accuses the father of the 13-year-old K.K., Vladimir Kecmanović, of a grave offense against general safety, given that he trained his son in handling firearms a year before the mass murder, stated the Chief Public Prosecutor Nenad Stefanović.

"The case is very specific, the indictment is 267 pages long," said the prosecutor, adding that an extensive investigation was conducted into the circumstances under which the 13-year-old killed ten and wounded six people.

According to him, the investigation was led by two public prosecutors, with the exceptional engagement of the Ministry of Internal Affairs personnel, and after more than ten months, an indictment was filed today against Vladimir Kecmanović.

The prosecutor also stated that the boy's mother, Miljana K., is accused of illegal production, carrying, possession, and trafficking of weapons and explosives.

An indictment was also filed against the president and instructor of the shooting club, which the father and son attended, for giving false testimony.

The prosecutor emphasizes that this does not put an end to the case of the mass murder at the "Vladislav Ribnikar" school - the prosecutor's office continues its work and is investigating all information that could point to the causes of this tragedy.

In the mass murder that occurred on May 3rd at a Belgrade elementary school, the thirteen-year-old student K.K. killed the school security guard and nine students with his father's pistol, and seriously wounded five other schoolmates and a teacher.

The day after, in two villages near Mladenovac, a 21-year-old killed eight, mostly young people, and wounded 14 others, which triggered mass civil protests "Serbia Against Violence".
