(Patria) - Russia continued what it started in 2014 with its invasion of Ukraine last year, said Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković today at a government session where it was decided that Croatia will fly the Ukrainian flag tomorrow to mark the first anniversary of the invasion.
- This is an unprecedented act where Russia invaded free and independent, internationally recognized territory of Ukraine. It continued what it started in 2014 - assessed Plenković.
Croatia will mark the first anniversary of the Russian invasion of Ukraine tomorrow by flying the Ukrainian flag, the Government decided today.
- The consequences of the aggression were unprecedented and tragic for tens of thousands killed, millions displaced and exiled, destroyed infrastructure across Ukraine. The consequences of this aggression are visible in Europe, globally, and in Croatia - said Plenković.
He also recalled that Zagreb has supported Kyiv over the past year - politically, diplomatically, financially, humanitarily, and militarily, Hina reported.
- We will continue to do so with full solidarity and the conviction that we are taking the right steps at all times in the past 12 months, and it will be the same in the future - both bilaterally and within international institutions - stated Plenković.
