Plenković explained: It is not good for Croats to have their representative in the Presidency elected by another nation

(Patria) - Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković said on Tuesday that the previous day, during a meeting in Banski dvori, he clearly told SDA President Bakir Izetbegović and HDZ BiH President Dragan Čović that it is not good for Croats to have their representative in the BiH Presidency elected by another nation.

"We believe that the practices that have existed since 2006 are not good, that one nation elects the representative for Croats in the Presidency. I clearly stated this yesterday to Izetbegović and Čović," said Plenković in Rijeka, where he visited the 3. maj shipyard for the handover of a ship to Canadian clients.

"Of course, respecting BiH and its institutions, our unified stance is that the actors in BiH themselves, institutions and parties, should come up with an electoral law that will prevent the situation we have now, where one constituent people feels that things are unfair," said the Croatian Prime Minister, adding that he is convinced that the Croatian stance "will not change regardless of who is in power."
