Pahor in Belgrade: Serbia has Slovenia's support on its path to the EU

BELGRADE, (Patria) - Slovenian President Borut Pahor is on an official visit to Serbia, where he met with Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić. As highlighted at the joint press conference, the relations between the two countries are friendly, which is also reflected in trade exchange.

The Slovenian President noted that Serbia will have Ljubljana's support on its path to EU membership. Both presidents point out that dialogue with Pristina plays a significant role on that path.

- As your friend and a friend of Serbia, I want to say that I support this dialogue and see no alternative to it. I don't know when and how it will end, it depends on bilateral talks, but what Slovenia, as a friend to everyone in the region, can help with, I have offered - Pahor told Vučić at the press conference.

This will also be discussed at the Brdo-Brijuni Process meeting on May 7 and 8 in Tirana. 

Vučić recalled that this is Pahor's third visit in 10 years and that it testifies to the good dynamics of development. When he first officially visited Belgrade, the two countries had a trade exchange worth around 500 million euros, and it has now reached 1.3 billion euros.
