(Patria) - Protests "Serbia Against Violence" are being held across Serbia. Protests were held in Čačak, Lučani, Zaječar, Smederevo, and Valjevo in the previous days, and blockades and protests have been announced for today in ten cities. The protest in Belgrade started at 6 PM, with addresses expected in front of the Parliament, followed by a march to Autokomanda. The protest is scheduled to last until 9 PM. Protests are also being held today in Subotica, Zrenjanin, Novi Sad, Belgrade, Šabac, Kragujevac, Kraljevo, Niš, Pirot, and Leskovac. As announced, a simultaneous road blockade action is planned in all cities.
A minor incident occurred while speeches were being held in front of the Parliament.
Namely, several citizens expressed dissatisfaction with the EU and Ukrainian flags, leading to a scuffle, but there were no major incidents, media reported.
The greater and more immediate the threat to the authorities, the greater the chance that the demands of the 'Serbia Against Violence' protests will be met, stated political scientist Boban Stojanović in a special broadcast on N1.
"The point is what you threaten and endanger the authorities with to force them to meet the demands. It's fine to walk, but blocking some less important roads in some cities in Serbia, I don't think it's enough. The authorities are ignoring all of this, and what we saw that hurts Vučić are the Gazela bridge and the highway, that hurts him," stated the political scientist.
