Osmani requests the US to lead Kosovo-Serbia dialogue

(Patria) - Kosovo's President Vjosa Osmani said that the dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia should be led by the United States.

She said the Ohrid agreement is not "perfect" for Kosovo.

She added that the agreement has good things, "but there are some things that I doubt how they will be implemented in practice".

According to her, the solution is for us to sit down with the US to prepare the draft for the Republic of Kosovo.

"We must present our draft to the American Secretary, which is in accordance with the Constitution of Kosovo and Mogherini's letter, which guarantees that there will be no executive powers, and in accordance with the written American position, which clarifies that it will only be a coordinating body without executive powers," she said.

Kosovo's President Vjosa Osmani commented on the behavior of the Srpska Lista after the attack in Banjska in Zvečan, in which one police officer was killed and three were injured.

She said that instead of distancing themselves from these actions, which are against the interests of all citizens, Srpska Lista is part of such attacks.

"We as institutions are doing all the legal analyses, we will also have a joint meeting with the Prime Minister, the Speaker of the Assembly, and the Deputy Prime Minister to discuss all these issues in the coming hours and of course everything that is foreseen by law regarding whether measures will be taken," she said in an interview for public television.
