Orešković on Seselj's acquittal: Fascist Greater Serbia policy goes unpunished

Croatian Prime Minister Tihomir Orešković commented on the verdict against Vojislav Šešelj in Vukovar today.

The first-instance verdict by the Trial Chamber of the International Criminal Tribunal, which acquitted the leader of Serbian radicals Vojislav Šešelj on all counts of the indictment for war crimes in Croatia, Vojvodina, and Bosnia and Herzegovina, was called shameful and a defeat for the Hague Prosecution by Orešković.

- The verdict for Vojislav Šešelj is shameful, a slap in the face to the victims. He committed evil in Vukovar and showed no remorse. It should be reiterated that the Hague Tribunal did not recognize the criminal enterprise against Croatia. Therefore, the fascist Greater Serbia policy goes unpunished! - said Orešković, adding that Croatia will not hinder Serbia's entry into the EU, but that the conditions are clear to everyone.

- Serbia must fulfill all conditions for entry - added Orešković.
