Huge queues for vaccination in Zagreb

(Patria) - On the occasion of the start of vaccination against coronavirus for the citizens of the city of Zagreb within the second phase of vaccination of the elderly and people with chronic diseases, which began today at 9 AM, at the sports hall of the Firefighting, Protection and Rescue College, Ksaverska cesta 111.

Although vaccination started at 9 AM, citizens began to appear at the location as early as 6 AM, in order to get their vaccine dose as soon as possible.

"I've been waiting since 6 AM, I just want to get vaccinated and get it over with, I've been living like a nun for a year," says one citizen.

Due to the nature of the organization, flow at the vaccination site, and avoiding citizen gatherings, the emphasis is not on people with mobility issues or those who are immobile, or for whom the vaccination location is not easily accessible due to advanced age or other circumstances.

For such individuals, vaccination will be organized at a more accessible location, i.e., closer to their homes (health centers, family doctors) or at their homes through home visits or mobile teams.

Thus, in this case, approximately 900 people who registered for vaccination with family doctors in the city of Zagreb will be covered, and who will not be able to be covered with the 30 vaccine doses that each practice received for the week of February 22.
