Croatia's attitude towards BiH is the worst in the last decade

The rhetoric coming from Zagreb towards BiH in recent days, especially from Croatian President Kolinda Grabar Kitarović, has long crossed all boundaries, writes Patria News Agency.

There isn't a day that the Croatian President doesn't harshly criticize BiH and its institutions. Grabar Kitarović is not alone in this, but has the support of a certain number of politicians, journalists, and intellectuals close to the HDZ.

Among those who support the Croatian President in every sentence they utter are the leading figures of the HDZ BiH, headed by the member of the BiH Presidency Dragan Čović, who fails to understand that his duty is to represent the state interests of BiH, not Croatia.

The Croatian President has long been repeating the story of thousands of radical Muslims in BiH, whom she apparently sees alone, but there is no official data on which to base her claims.

The story about radicals in BiH reached its peak intensity when the story about the construction of the Pelješac Bridge was reopened.

Official institutions of BiH oppose the construction of the Pelješac Bridge, whose construction would lead to the closure of unobstructed access to the open sea for our country.

Croatia claims it has the right to build and does not pay much attention to the official positions of BiH institutions, but rather states that regardless of everything, they will proceed with the construction of the bridge.

By doing so, Croatian authorities are sending a message that they do not respect their neighbors at all, while at the same time trying with all their might to present themselves as good neighbors.

Unfortunately, today's relations between the two countries have perhaps reached their worst level in the last decade.

As things stand, for an improvement in the overall relations between the two countries, there will need to be a change of government on both sides of the border.
