Serbian Parliament's Diaspora Committee is implementing SANU Memorandum II

At the 44th session of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, Denis Bećirović requested that the Information from the 7th session of the Committee for Diaspora of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia be considered as a separate agenda item. After the Commission agreed to consider this topic as a separate agenda item, Bećirović pointed out that the following statements by the Committee for Diaspora of the Serbian Parliament are unacceptable and malicious:

1. Serbs are exposed to all kinds of discrimination in the Federation of BiH, Croatia, Montenegro, and Macedonia;

2. The pressure on Serbs in the region is such that they cannot resolve their issues without the help and engagement of Serbia;

3. The authorities in the Federation of BiH are responsible for the fact that around 50,000 Serbs now live in this entity;

4. The Serbian Prosecutor's Office is diligently prosecuting war crimes, while those in Croatia and the Federation of BiH are not;

5. The position of Serbs in Croatia, Montenegro, and the Federation of BiH is getting worse;

- Such unilateral and malicious statements are unacceptable and inadmissible in the 21st century. This is a continuation of the dangerous policy and dangerous messages contained in SANU Memorandum I and II. We all know very well in which direction the entire region went after such messages - Bećirović said at the session of the Foreign Policy Committee.

 

At the end of this agenda item, Bećirović also proposed concrete conclusions to reject the inaccurate qualifications of the Committee for Diaspora of the Serbian Parliament. However, Commission member Mladen Bosić left the session at that moment, due to which the quorum for work was lost, and the Commission interrupted its work.
