(Patria) - I am ready to go to elections as a candidate for prime minister, but I will not yield to blackmail – neither from the West, nor the SPS, nor false right-wingers, Aleksandar Vučić said at a meeting of the top of the Serbian Progressive Party, as reported by "Novosti".
"It is better to go into opposition than to let party and private interests run the state. I am ready to go to elections as a candidate for prime minister, but I will not yield to blackmail – neither from the West, nor the SPS, nor false right-wingers," emphasized Aleksandar Vučić.
As Novosti reports, the hint of a complete change in the current political landscape in the country came during the summing up of the recent session of the National Assembly dedicated to Kosovo and Metohija, and Vučić said that the SNS was alone in defending state interests and that it had the people on its side.
"I am very disappointed with the behavior of the Socialists, who were somewhere in between, wanting to please everyone," sources from the SNS conveyed Vučić's words to Novosti.
Vučić also said that he is "fed up with crooks who want to get rich at the expense of the party, often invoking him in their shady dealings, but whenever it was necessary to fight for the state and the people, they were the first to turn their backs."
