The most read daily newspaper in Serbia, Informer, will give away a poster of the former president of Republika Srpska, Radovan Karadžić, to all its readers in tomorrow's weekend edition. This is an announcement from the official website of Informer, reports the Patria News Agency.
Despite the fact that Karadžić was sentenced to 40 years in prison for genocide in Srebrenica, terrorizing Sarajevo, and holding hostages, this means nothing to the editorial staff of Informer. For them, he is a national hero who was unjustly convicted.
Given that this is the most read newspaper in neighboring Serbia, which shapes public opinion, the message is clear that in the neighboring country there is no political will to recognize the Hague verdict, Karadžić's crimes, and especially not the genocide in Srebrenica, which was further confirmed by the verdict against the highest-ranking politician from RS, along with the high-ranking officers of the Army of RS to date.
It is an open secret that the editor of Informer, Dragan J. Vučićević, is a confidant of Prime Minister Aleksandar Vučić.
