A delegation of the SDP of Bosnia and Herzegovina, led by President Nermin Nikšić, is visiting Stolac today, where it met with representatives of the Initiative for Stolac, reports the Patria news agency.
The President of the SDP, Nermin Nikšić, emphasised that from Stolac he wants to send messages that will contribute to calming tensions in this municipality.
-I want to send reassuring messages and wish a speedy recovery to the man who ended up in hospital on election day, said Nikšić.
He expects the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as the competent state authority, to make a decision in accordance with the law.
-I expect that decision to support what we all see – the annulment of the elections in Stolac and the repetition of the elections, certainly under the auspices of the Central Election Commission, specified the first man of the SDP of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
-Also, it is no less significant to send a message to those who were here in Stolac yesterday, as well as to a member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, who are trying to sneak in through the back door what we have been warning about for months – the complete division of Bosnia and Herzegovina, by calling Stolac 'Croatian territory', warned Nikšić.
The candidate of the Initiative for Stolac for mayor of this municipality, Salmir Kaplan, expressed satisfaction that the delegation of the SDP of Bosnia and Herzegovina, led by President Nikšić, visited Stolac today and sent reassuring messages.
-In Stolac, people can certainly live together, there are no problems in Stolac, no one is anyone's enemy, God forbid! In Stolac, there are only people who are enemies of electoral fraud and theft, said Kaplan.
The bearer of the list of the Initiative for Stolac, Demir Mahmutćehajić, emphasised that "the HDZ continues to deceive all citizens".
-In Stolac, there are not two, but three candidates for mayor. Mato Komšić is a candidate for mayor. So, by presenting an atmosphere that if Salmir Kaplan is excluded, that is pressure on institutions, and they always act like that. So, they are now putting pressure on the Central Election Commission to, supposedly, because of something that happened, one candidate should be excluded. But, the candidate will not be excluded, stated Mahmutćehajić.
