Nikolić and Vučić with officials from RS: Meeting in Belgrade on referendum begins

The President and Prime Minister of Serbia, Tomislav Nikolić and Aleksandar Vučić, began a meeting today in the Presidency building of Serbia with top officials of Republika Srpska to discuss the situation that arose after the Steering Board of the Peace Implementation Council in BiH called on the RS authorities to abandon the referendum on the Day of RS, Serbian media report, as stated by the Patria News Agency.

Nikolić and Vučić met with the BiH Presidency member Mladen Ivanić, who was the first to arrive at the meeting, then the President of RS Milorad Dodik, the Prime Minister of RS Željka Cvijanović, and the President of the Serbian Democratic Party Mladen Bosić.

As "Blic" learns, Vučić considered the possibility of not attending the meeting, because politicians from BiH and RS had made decisions in advance, and contrary to what was agreed, presented their positions to the public, adding that the meeting, given that, "could have been skipped".

- I do not break the agreements we reach. I do not go public with my politics. I do not offer easy and popular solutions that the people are enthusiastic about - Vučić stated.

He added that, contrary to the agreement not to go public with their positions, some presented their decisions, and expressed regret that he did not have the opportunity to express his opinion.
