Nikolić and Vučić with RS officials: Belgrade meeting on referendum has begun

Serbia's President and Prime Minister Tomislav Nikolić and Aleksandar Vučić have started their meeting with the top ranks of the RS government. They will analyze the situation following the PIC's decision and invitation thereafter to the RS government to abandon the idea of referendum, Serbian media report.

Nikolić and Vučić greeted the member of BH Presidency Mladen Ivanić, who arrived first, followed by President of RS Milorad Dodik, President of RS Government Željka Cvijanović and President of Serb Democratic Party Mladen Bosić.

According to Serbian 'Blic', Vučić considered not coming to the meeting because the politicians from BiH and RS made some decisions prior to the meeting, and shared their opinions with the public through media. Vučić said that the meeting 'could have been dropped'.

- I do not break agreements that we achieve. I do not speak in public about my politics. I can't stand easy and popular solutions that masses are so enthusiastic about, Vučić said.

He explained that, some of the participants of the meeting went publicly with their decisions despite of their agreement not do so. Vučić also said that he regretted not having a possibility to share his opinion.
