Nobody has a problem with Serbia, Serbia has a problem with fascism!

The match of the World Cup in Russia between Serbia and Switzerland came to the fore for political reasons, as several players from the former Yugoslavia play in the Swiss national team, while the Swiss coach is Vladimir Petković from Sarajevo.

The Swiss won 2-1, with goals scored by players of Kosovar origin, Granit Xhaka and Xherdan Shaqiri. They celebrated their goals by gesturing the double-headed eagle, a symbol of the Albanian flag, which caused fierce reactions in Serbia.

On the other hand, the coach of Serbia, Mladen Krstajić, originally from Zenica, also ended up in the center of the scandal. Before the match, he said that he was not interested in politics at all, boasting at a press conference that he comes from Bosnia, a "multi-ethnic environment". However, after the match, Krstajić changed his tune.

Serbia was wronged by the German referee in the match against Switzerland, who did not award a clear penalty for Serbia, and Krstajić connected all this with The Hague and "injustice towards Serbs".

- Unfortunately, only Serbs seem to be condemned to selective justice. Sometimes the damned Hague, and today in football VAR - said Krstajić after the match.

The furthest went journalist and representative of Vučić's SNS, Miroslav Lazanski, who sees the German referee's mistake as "German revenge for the defeat in World War II".

- A German did not award us a clear penalty at the World Cup in football in Russia. The German, with the Swiss players, probably also with Shaqiri and Xhaka, spoke in German, since the German referee certainly does not speak Albanian. And maybe he does, because the great-grandson of Hitler's field marshal Kesselring reformed the Albanian intelligence service "Shik" after the fall of Enver Hoxha. He also helped those in Pristina a little - believes Lazanski.

Furthermore, he claims that the venue of the match also has an influence on all of this.

- The German referee deliberately did all this in Kaliningrad, formerly Prussian Königsberg. Since the Russian national football team did not play in Kaliningrad, there were "little Russians", i.e. Serbs, so the German referee proceeded to directly revise the results of World War II. Russians cannot lose, but Serbs must. Precisely in the place where the Germans lost Prussia. The fact that our players dragged themselves around the field in the second half like beaten cats, that they didn't know what they were playing, that the Swiss Albanians could have scored two or three more goals against us, that's another story - believes Lazanski.

The Serbian players had the right to request VAR assistance, i.e., a video review, but they did not. Lazanski has an explanation for why they didn't.

- In the meantime, we have contracted "Stockholm syndrome". We have come to love our killers. And we admire them.

Lazanski, like most Serbian media and fans, sees an anti-Serbian conspiracy in all of this, but no one has the courage to look in the mirror and face their own sins.

FIFA has already fined Serbia for displaying political messages in the first match against Costa Rica, and has also initiated disciplinary proceedings due to Krstajić's statement and the behavior of fans in the match against Switzerland. Serbian fans wore t-shirts with the image of convicted war criminal Ratko Mladić, which will be the subject of an investigation, but Lazanski and others see no problem with that.

Serbia, more than twenty years after the war, sees problems in others, but lacks the courage and honesty to face itself, to see and admit the problem.

Nobody here has a problem with Serbia, Serbia has a problem with fascism. And the sooner it realizes this and starts confronting it, the better it will be for everyone. For its neighbors, and above all for Serbia.
