After making a decision on the eve of the commemoration in Potočari on July 11, prohibiting employees of the BiH Ministry of Foreign Affairs from participating in its organization, thereby abusing his position as head of BiH diplomacy and acting as if he were the minister of a neighboring country and not Bosnia and Herzegovina, Igor Crnadak has once again practically demonstrated that he is in the service of Belgrade, not the country and citizens who pay him and whose interests he should represent, writes the Patria News Agency.
Following the protest note from the Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which was handed to the BiH Ambassador in Belgrade due to a video showing two men burning Serbian flags, Crnadak was quick to respond without waiting for the results of the investigation conducted by SIPA and the MUP RS (why the MUP RS got involved alongside the state police agency is another story).
-The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina most strongly condemns the burning of the flag, as an inappropriate act of vandalism and an attempt to desecrate the state symbols of a sovereign and friendly country, states the response to the note from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, which expressed protest due to the published video of the burning of the flag of the Republic of Serbia.
It was also stated that the competent BiH authorities have been asked to verify the existence of any evidence regarding the origin of the controversial video on the territory of BiH, as well as to undertake all necessary activities to find and legally punish the perpetrators of this offense.
Why was Igor Crnadak so quick with condemnations when he doesn't even know where or when the video was made? Why was he in such a hurry when the identities of the men burning the flags are unknown?
It seems that Belgrade and currying favor with its authorities are once again closer to Crnadak than the interests of his own country, Bosnia and Herzegovina, which, according to the BiH Constitution and the oath he took upon his appointment as minister, he should defend until it is proven that one of his citizens has indeed committed any (in)action.
The head of BiH diplomacy did not bother to get information from the director of SIPA, Perica Stanić, who stated that an investigation was underway and the controversial video was being verified, nor to find out how a video made in March of this year and published on the FB profile of Izet Hamza, which was abruptly deleted last week, appeared on the YouTube channel of the Banja Luka-based Nezavisne novine just now. Instead of verification, after which his statement should have been entirely different in tone and would have protected the state he serves as minister, pending the conclusion of the investigation, Crnadak at lightning speed dictated a press release to gain a few political points in Serbia.
The election campaign is indeed underway, but a state should still be above that for a minister in the Council of Ministers of BiH.
